We’re excited to be offering a safer trick-or-treating experience for families. We’ve been working together with local businesses and organizations to offer fun to New Westminster on the Downtown Waterfront and are looking forward to you joining us!
From 5-8 pm on Hallowe’en night, families are invited to stroll the Promenade and trick-or-treat with their little ones outside of the Rivermarket. Don’t forget to bring a decorated pumpkin to enter in our New West Family Place Pumpkin Decorating Contest!

The festivities kick off with a scavenger hunt at the River Market throughout October. Participants can pick up a Hallowe’en passport from participating businesses and hunt for hidden bats. Be sure to get your passport stamped for a chance to win exciting prizes!
On October 31st, immerse yourself in the spirit of the season with themed and costumed yoga classes with our friends at Yoga at the Quay. Kids (ages 4+) can join from 4-5 pm, followed by an adult session at 7:45 pm. Registration is required, and designer Hallowe’en cookies will be provided!
Did you know that Sturegons are called the “ghosts of the Fraser”? Learn and have fun helping find Sturgeon George’s family in this STEM stur-mergency at the Fraser River Discovery Centre. Be sure to check out the costume selfie station and trick or treat until 8 pm.
