Volunteers play a critical role in helping us empower families in New Westminster to THRIVE!
There are great benefits to volunteering for us: gain valuable interpersonal & work skills, support our team at programs & events, build community with families, learn a strengths-based approach, celebrate each day with joy and play.
We have a variety of opportunities for you to contribute to New Westminster Family Place as a Volunteer, including:
- Occasional pick-up truck and driver;
- Occasional labour (moving boxes and set-up and take-down of equipment);
- Occasional specialized skills like technical computer skills (ie. Excel, CRMs, database management);
- Teaching and facilitation: we have specialized opportunities to support volunteers to train and become part of our program delivery;
- Weekly support at our various programs including Peer Support, program support as a Playroom Assistant and in child minding;
